The First Notice of Loss, is the initial report, policyholders must have the following information handy:
• Current Policy Number
• Provide a detailed description of the damages
• Write down the claim number; this is the quickest and easiest way to locate your file
After Reporting a Claim, What’s Next?
Policyholders should have the following available when the inspector visits them;
• Pictures pre & post storm available to your agent
• All receipts of expenses incurred to protect the property after the storm
• Should not sign any paperwork from contractors
